Who's worse: Tim McCarver or Joe Morgan?

Unfortunately great announcers like Joe Buck and Jon Miller get paired with McCarver and Morgan. Am I the only one who thinks these two color commentators need to be put out to pasture?

I'm with you on this. I'm baffled as to how they're still in broadcasting. The crew for the Sox vs Angels series has been pretty poor as well. During the late innings of a one run game last night Berman was talking about how all the Anaheim relievers wear those stupid goggles. I would listen to the sox radio guys but its always out of sync. The radio feed comes through quicker than the TV.

Fox and ESPN seriously need to rethink their baseball coverage. They treat their viewers like somebody who has never seen a baseball game before.

I don't mind Morgan, but McCarver is horrible. I'm not that big of a fan of Buck either.

But hey, all of them are better than Michael Kay, so I don't complain too much.

McCarver is a moron.

The other night he said Justin Morneau was born in New Westminister and said there was Moose there .......... the local tv stations ran with that clip and found it funny. He also said 52 was a summer day in New West ..... also laughable.

The next time McCarver announces a game in which Morneau plays in I expect him to say Morneau was raised in a Igloo, ate bacon 3 times a day, and both of his parents were Mounties.

McCarver is a moron.

2 guys I really like in the booth that don't get much coverage are Tony Gwynn and Dave Justice. I'd rather see either of them with Buck and Miller.

I thought Gwynn did an excellent job last night despite his co-comentators. Its nice having a former player in there that actually remembers what it was like to play and will go more in depth than how the angels relievers wear glasses.
