Damn Squint, I was going to say the same thing. I thought 2 of those Pedro fastballs to Jeter caught the outside corner. If the ump isn't giving the corner then fine. However the curve he threw to Arod that Jeter stole on was right there. I even said to myself "How the hell was that not a strike?".

It's been a while since I've seen Pedro throwing 94 consistently with his heat. His hook is looking pretty nasty as well. Not to mention his changeup - which is always good.

Yea, I'm afraid to say I agree with u. His fastball is topping out at 95MPH and his changeups are in the high 80's. It looks like he might have settled down after giving up the basehit and RBI to Sheffield.

Also, is it just me or has Posada done nothing so far this postseason? I'm looking for him to have a big night.

              i disagree...

you know how boxers "dont" wanna fight

pedro looks as though he "doesnt" want to pitch...too many breaks in between pitches, nervous wreck imo...he is afraid to make a mistake

              edit: SO arod, lol

That has nothing to do with the stuff he has going tonight. I don't think it's nerves, he just realizes the importance of this game and wants to win pretty bad I'd guess.

On a more important note, he has thrown far too many pitches through 2 innings. He needs to settle down and get a few 1-2-3 innings.

Pedro has great stuff tonight, but maybe he wasn't just frustrated when he made those comments a few weeks ago. He is pitching scared. Trying to be too fine, throwing over every chance he gets. I've never seen him like this.

His stuff has been good enough to get it done, but who know's how long that will last.

Jordan - Honestly I think he's doing a lot of that to frustrate the Yankee hitters. Many hitters like to get into a rhythm and get up to the plate and go. By pausing all the time I think Pedro is trying to get them stiff in the box.

I still think his "stuff" is electric tonight. He's thrown a lot of pitches which is a bad thing, but he's had excellent movement on most of them. That's why I think he's looking better than what I've seen in a while. He just needs to keep that pitch count down because 47 pitches through 2 isn't good at all.
