yeah now would be a great time for the sox to feast on the yanks pitching. The bullpen better get all the rest they can. Hopefully hernandez will be able to pitch game 4 or something like that, because the yanks starters were practically pefect, and i don't know how many more times they can do it.

I personally like the Sox chances in game 3. Kevin Brown is hurting and Arroyo is pitching as well as he has all season. Wakefield vs Vazquez in game 4 is a toss up. I see that as a high scoring game that may come down to the bullpens.
Brown's hurting but he was able to take down the Twins in the ALDS. Game 4 is a tossup, you are right there, but by then I think the Sox just might be preparing for next year if Brown can have another start like he did against the Twins. IF the Sox can take Game 3, we'll see.. but they just look like they're finished right now.
That's why I just can't really give the Red Sox much respect. I see this all the time. Check my avatar. There's only room for one team in MLB to look beaten and lifeless all the time.

Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread
Great game all! It's a dream that we won the first 2 games, beating Schilling and Pedro! Now I feel comfortable going into Fenway knowing that if we win just one game we'll be in good shape coming back to New York.
I have worries about Flash Gordon, but I think he is a good enough pitcher to fix his problems for when we really need him. It's great to know we have the greatest closer in baseball to save a close game.Comment

Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread
Pedro was good, but not good enough.
If Arroyo and Wakefield didn't have a solid track record against these Yanks I'd say this is over, but it's not. If the Yankees win game 3, then it will be pretty much over. That game 5 start could become a big start if this series gets there and it looks like Derek Lowe would be starting that game.Comment
