Yankee tradition? Possibly a small part of free agents coming to the Yankees.. but what if Steinbrenner owned the Devil Rays and threw around the same kind of cash? What if the Yankees ownership resembled that of.. say.. the Twins?
Money does make the world go 'round.. but nobody in baseball should be making the kind of money these players make now.
