Yankee tradition? Possibly a small part of free agents coming to the Yankees.. but what if Steinbrenner owned the Devil Rays and threw around the same kind of cash? What if the Yankees ownership resembled that of.. say.. the Twins?

Money does make the world go 'round.. but nobody in baseball should be making the kind of money these players make now.
Of course money is a big part of it. But money doesn't give a team 63 come from behind victories in a season. Money doesn't give give you clutch hits in extra innings in a must win game 2. Money doesn't beat 2 of the better pitchers in baseball in a row.

That happens on the field. Steinbrenner invests a lot of money into the team. But the players still have to go out and get it done.

Well.. at least if you're gonna lose this badly, take the other team down with you. The Sox aren't going to do that, because they lack the guts to at least lose with fire.

is boston just going to leave mike myers in. He's thrown more pitches today, then practically the whole season, and willliams and posada have singled off of him
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.
