On a side note - Mcarver needs to shut his yap. I'm getting frustrated listening to him right now. He blasted Pedro throughout the first 2 innings and now blasted Damon for an "excuse me" swing. His top hand didn't fall off the bat IMO. I thought Damon was trying to hold up and couldn't.
McCarver is more concerned with the length of pedro's pants than anything else. god i hate him.

the red sox have apparently forgotten how to hit over the first 3 innings. Theyve had some ugly at bats thus far.

I can't stand any more commercials for this show HOUSE. Fox has promos everywhere, and we see the same commercial 9 times in a game.

Didn't Jon Lieber carry a no-hitter againt the Red Sox into the 6th or 7th inning earlier in the year? It might not be a fluke that Lieber is throwing a good game so far.

Possibly. I just ran through his games pitched log on ESPN and he pitched one game on Sept 18 where he went 8.1 and gave up 4 hits. That was his lowest hit total against Boston this year.

Link to Lieber's Games Pitched Log

EDIT - I just read the recap for that game and yes that's correct. It said he no-hit BOS through 7 until Ortiz hit a 2 run HR in the 8th.

Not saying Lieber is a bad pitcher... just seems like some of the sox have gone to the nomar garcia-popup school of hitting recently. He's fooled them so far.

Looks like we might have a pitchers duel afterall. We'll see how Pedro does against the 1-2-3 hitters the 3rd time around.
