    Re: Yankees-Red Sox ALCS Thread

I think the Schilling ankle thing is MUCH more exaggerated than the true story actually is.

It's gonna be a hard decision for Francona.. Schilling's been awesome but you think as the night gets colder that ankle will start bugging him more and more.

Lieber seems to be getting stronger as his pitch count goes up. Of course he was just helped out by a catch. Except for one half-inning, Lieber's matched Schilling. Will that one half-inning be enough?

If he keeps pitching the way he is, you don't pull him.

I'd hate to see Schill come out of the game, and the bullpen blow it. It'll be a reverse Grady Little!

I thought so too before the series. But I think Game 1 proved that wasn't the case.

The latter with the homerun call and yada yada.. its irrelevant because in the end, the Yanks will come out on top.

Schillings pitching well, but he has about 2 good innnings left (i hope). once that bullpen comes, the Yanks will shine as they always do. So we can talk about "Big Papi" and Schilling and cheap home run calls, but the bottom line is the Yanks will win this game... will win the pennant... and once again be on their way to the World Series.

Oh I can't wait to see the Sox win this one

EDIT: That shine as they always do against the bullpen. Are we talking about the same bullpen that shut the Yankees down completely for the last 2 games. Don't know if I would describe that as "shining"
