Blue Jays on the verge of 4th straight loss...pitching has been suspect to say the least.

I thought overall Dickey was pretty good this afternoon. His knuckleball was dancing all over the place which caused problems for Thole and Dickey made a bad error but overall he was good.

Too bad the error and the misplay by Bautista helped bury the Jays today.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Sandoval is going to hear it big time in the Boston media. First swing and his belt explodes off his pants and then that really poor overthrow at 1B. This guy is gonna be incredibly hard to get rid of.

Brewers won last night on the Chase Utley rule. Astros challenged and the ruling stayed the same.

Brewers are at .500. I wonder if that is the last time I say that all season.

That's the 3rd DP the Indians have botched today. Sox tied it up at 3.

I hope not, I have a soft spot for the Brew Crew. It helps that through all the changes they still have a Blue Jays connection

Garcia breaks it open for the Sox. 7-3.

Bryan Shaw had a bad time.

Even as a Brewer fan that rule has gotta go. To lose on that play is a travesty.

I don't have an issue with the rule; we can't barrel into a catcher who has all this equipment, why try to take out a 2nd basemen who DOESN'T have the equipment?

The runner just needs to make sure they can wrap around the base.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Agreed. The rules at every level before professional ball are even more strict where you have to slide right into the bag. It's not ruining amateur baseball, and it won't ruin professional baseball either. If Rasmus just reached for 2B when he slid, it would've been fine. He has no one to be angry with but himself.

Guys just have to adjust. Same as 2 years ago with the rule at the plate (which hardly ever comes up anymore after being such a big issue that first month of the first season)
