Maybe, but things like having to stay on the bag at the end of your slide and having to make an effort to reach for the bag are definitely new (or at least newly focused on).

This was pretty sick. Don't know how to embed the "GIFs" system that Twitter has now: https://twitter.com/Alden_Gonzalez/s...575488/photo/1

        That's true.

Regarding the rules stuff. I generally fall in line with Matrix's thinking. The more you add superfluous rules in the name of safety the more things get needlessly complicated. That being said it took a couple years but the implementation of the Buster Posey Rule has generally been pretty good after a lot of hiccups.

They'll fix it. Just like they fixed the new fly ball transfer rule a few seasons ago that made for some ugly calls.

Rangers call up Mazara to replace Choo (DL/out 4-6 weeks). Interested to see this kid play.

Robinson Chirinos (broken arm) out 10-12 weeks as well.

Switching between the Jays game and the Mets game....Awesome to see the Mets wear their '86 uniforms.

They're gonna wear it every Sunday home game this season.

Drew Stubbs hits a 3 run hr to straight center to tie it at 4 in the 4th.

Several shutouts in the works today. Might see our first complete game.

And two of those shutouts gone in less than a minute as both the Reds and Mets score.

Olivera has too many moving parts when he starts his swing. I think pitchers will eventually start cramming him up/inside.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Marco Estrada was pretty damn dominant in his first start of the year. He gave the Jays exactly what they needed by going 7 strong. Here's hoping the Jays can close the door on this one.

Winkler may have just thrown out his arm. Threw a pitch behind the batter and immediately came running off the mound.
