Because drugs/steroids or not, Cammy played the game it was meant to be played on every play of every game. That is still something to be admired.

So then all those who like Caminiti for the reasons you mentioned should have no problems with Bonds assuming Bonds took steroids?

Steroids or not, I love to watch Barry Bonds play. I loved to watch Jose Canseco play in his prime. And....

This steroid issue is another topic for another thread. We are entering an unprecented era in baseball and sports in general. The "blinders" are being removed so to speak and we are seeing that there are performance enhancing drugs to help people acheive great heights in sports.

Com on, the Governor of California took steroids and everybody loves him. Let's just hope that Caminiti's life and death help just one person out there to quit drugs and/or steroids.

RIP..I'm sorry to say this and you guys can knock me for it,but it's hard for me to find sympathy for him when he just throws his life away using roids and harcore drugs like that.

well that why they call it a drug "Problem". He had a drug problem bad and he took roids and yes it caught up to him. Sometimes it hard for people to stop and quit, so that why I feel bad for him and his famliy, IF you don't feel bad for him that cool, but in my eyes I feel really bad for him and his famliy, he had three daughters, now they have no father wich is unfair. Thats the way life goes and it sux. I just wanna know what the hell he was doing In the Bronx, I hope he wasn't picking somthing up.

Well they probably havent had a father for a while though. Its not like things are usually fine before they end up like this. Its not unfortunate for them that he died as much as it is unfortunate for them that he had these problems. This is an important distinction I think. With these problems he was probably dead as a father well before he actually died.

Its not unfortunate for them that he died as much as it is unfortunate for them that he had these problems. This is an important distinction I think. With these problems he was probably dead as a father well before he actually died.

I can respect what you are saying but its the double standard Im concerned with. You can bet that its in effect for some. In all honesty Im not sure I have a problem with players using steroids in non-contact sports. I mean, these guys are the ones who have to live with the consequences. This whole issue has snowballed with Caminiti, Canseco and then the president mentioning it in a SOTU address (wtf!). Its to the point where any testimony can not be trusted. Since the feds are involved in this too many people are probably trying to cut deals.

I can respect what you are saying but its the double standard Im concerned with. You can bet that its in effect for some. I didn't say anything negative about Bonds or anyone else. It's up to MLB to police it's players, not me.

I heard about this today at school, and was shocked.

It's terrible when someone dies as early as Caminiti did, and even worse knowing he had a drug problem.

RIP Ken, you'll be missed by the baseball world.
