The way the Royals are playing is making those fangraphs projections look better and better..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I haven't been able to watch much of them yet this year. What's the main cause of their struggles? I know the pitching staff is thin from injuries.. is that basically it?Comment

Best part of that Stanton clip is that the commentators are in complete awe as well. The pitcher just putting his hands on his hips and looking away at first, none of the outfielders move, and Stanton doesn't pimp it at all, he's much better than me. I would've Shawn Kemp pointed after a hit like that, he's just amazing.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
