Regarding the Braves I was switching around the dial while watching the Jays game and they were discussing the Braves on MLB-N...Tom Verducci is of the mind that the Braves and especially the Phillies will be very good in 2-3 years. I can definitely see the Phillies argument but the Braves? I'm not so sure. They're really pinning their hopes on the ton of prospects/young guys they have right now who are either under performing, question marks or outright being complete idiots. (Olivera i'm looking at you) I've stored it in my memory banks to see how right or wrong Verducci is in 2019.

FWIW the Braves have the best farm system in the MLB according to Keith Law. They have 7 top 100 prospects which is tied for the most (Dodgers and Twins).

And this is his analysis of the system: This system was among the bottom five just two years ago after several bad drafts and questionable player development, but a series of trades -- including several fleecings of the Diamondbacks -- has stocked the system with pitching depth that is the envy of the industry. They tied for the most players in my top 100 and had a couple of other players who could make cases for inclusion, and their 11th- to 20th-ranked prospects still include a lot of prospective major league value. It has been a remarkable turnaround for general manager John Coppolella and his front office, and the future is even brighter with the team having the third overall pick in June's draft. The team's agreement to sign Venezuelan prospect Kevin Maitan on July 2 is the worst-kept secret in the industry.

It's good to know that the Braves are doing their due diligence that way and have such a great farm system. I just think for their fans and those who've appreciated this franchise for the last 25 years this rough patch at the MLB level is excruciating to watch.

It's easier to watch because I expected no more than 65ish wins. They probably won't even reach that, but it's not that bad honestly. I'm not exactly sold on the prospects we have, but we'll see what happens.

I'm also glad to see Wisler is trash today. Hot garbage. I can't find any words to describe how terrible he's looked this inning.

I would say this game is already over, but David Price is pitching and it's April.

No hockey tonight so I'm excited to watch Pittsburgh/Colorado, St. Louis/Arizona, KC/Anaheim and San Diego/SF.

The Braves' offense literally makes my eyes bleed...we are completely inept. I once watched my Braves homer in 26 straight games (circa 1996/97) and I believe I'm about to watch them go 26 games without a homer...just ridiculous.

White Sox beat Toronto 10-1. Chris Sale gets win #5.

                        Sox are now 15-6.

                          Drew Storen go join him.

Seriously... his "knuckleball" was essentially a high changeup left over the plate for 6 innings tonight.

I get losing games/being bad. Lots of teams have had bad/down years...but I can't recall any organization accepting the level of bad being put on the field right now in Atlanta. They aren't just losing, they are getting pummeled on a nearly nightly basis while Fredi just sits there and watches. The players don't care, the manager doesn't seem to care, and the front office/media just keeps saying "the future looks bright". I'm fine with losing if you are putting forth the effort...I'm not fine with just flat out laying down and not caring.
