He extended it earlier, but Jackie Bradley, Jr. has a 14 game hitting streak. And just drove in a run with a double.

Starlin thrown out at 3rd after his hand came off the bag and Shaw kept the tag applied.

        Dammit, I wanted the shutout.

Happy to see the Sox take game 3. A sweep by the Yankees after taking 2 of 3 in Chicago would have been a disaster. Let's come away on the plus side of this upcoming 7 game home stand.

          Nearly had a Maddux.

And due in part to Wright's mastery, this was the fastest Yankees-Sox game since 1999 (2 hours 27 minutes).

Simmons hurt his wrist and might have to go on the DL.

What a **** season so far outside that Royals sweep.

A Sunday Night Baseball between the Red Sox and Yankees that was under 2.5 hours. I need more of this in my life.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I do like the point about the twitter comments from April 2014...Cubs fans calling for Epstein to be fired for "ruining" the franchise and setting it back so far. That wasn't long ago at all and shows you how quickly things can turn around...I just don't see a Kris Bryant in our system or a Jake Arrieta on our staff.

And I remember when logical fans laughed at those ridiculous Chicago fans. I think we even had one here in the forum that is no longer with us.

But the Braves are mostly just trying to get prospects. They aren't anywhere close.

Yes, but to be fair the Cubs sucked for the first three seasons (2012-2014) of Epstein. For the Braves this is essentially the 2013 season for the Cubs...and you could say in 2013 the Cubs weren't really close either. If some of the prospects pan out (plus the high draft picks they are going to have this year/next year) I could see the Braves being competitive by 2019.

There is admittedly a lot of luck in "rebuilding"...no where in their wildest dreams did the Cubs know/expect what they were getting with that Arrieta trade back in 2014, and he's darn near turned into the best pitcher in baseball. We'll see if the Braves get any luck in their process...so far, none has been had.

I have a feeling the Cardinals are going to be hovering around the .500 mark all season.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

If the Jays can't put up a crooked number against Peavy and Cain over the next couple nights than i'll have a conniption fit.

Epstein was very straightforward with his plan and as CMH said any logical Cubs fan understood that there would be growing pains. Epstein was hired 5 years ago so I don't know if I'd consider that a quick turnaround. There was a lot of bad Cubs baseball since 2011. It takes multiple drafts and moves to get a farm system in place.

Absolutely get that. My point is that the Braves are going through what the Cubs did and are only in year 2...it isn't fair to expect the Braves to complete this turnaround in 12-24 months. I think it's nothing short of amazing what the Braves front office has done since November 2014 in taking what was one of the worst farm systems and making it a top farm system. Now we just have to see if it pans out...

Ah gotcha. Yes a rebuild will definitely take time. Let me tell you that before it gets better it will definitely suck a lot.
