He's not though, not in my eyes. Just because Kershaw has the longevity factor, which obviously isn't Arrieta's fault.

There have been quite a few pitchers that have been one or two year wonders, so I'm just not gonna lump him in that category yet.

As of this year and last year, Arrieta is obviously in the conversation of being one of the best.

Hell, the best pitcher last year, number wise, was Greinke, better then both those studs.

Just saw the highlights of Giants/Padres...what was Madbum going after Meyers for? It had to be something that happened earlier because I didn't see anything in the strike out that was out of the ordinary...

Beane's plan is working perfectly...Davis continues to perform, he flips him to some team for prospects, Davis wins the MVP next year.

He thought Myers was yelling at him. They later talked it out at 1B when Madison got a base hit.

I don't understand how Kershaw broke 300 K's last year because I didn't think anyone would do stuff like that anymore and he's going to do it again. I just don't even know what to say about this guy anymore.

Bumgarner is getting to the Lackey point with me. Always taking offense to a batter saying something and thinking it's about him. Dude needs to take the rabbit ears off.

Great pitched game by Anderson last night, probably the best I've seen against the Cubs until the 9th. Think losing the no-hitter just took the wind out of his sails.

He was out ahead of the counts all night, and on corners with just about everything.

Nice to see that the Heyward bagel watch is over.

How about those Indians laying the smackdown on the Reds the last 2 nights. Wow.

Boston - KC split twin bill along with 2 other games to start the day. Multiple mid-week day baseball games that don't involve the Cubs seem so rare.

Cardinals sit 8 games behind the Cubs for first in the Central. We are 2.5 back of the Mets/Phillies for the wildcard. A streak of winning 7 out of 10 or 8 out of 10 would be really nice right now.

Hopefully it starts tonight against the Rox. Wainwright is on the mound.

I think Alfredo Simon is wondering which direction the fork is coming from to stick him after 4.1 IP 10 ER and 14 hits allowed. And wasn't he the only qualified SP with an ERA over 5 last year? We need to start a 'retire Jered Weaver and Alfredo Simon' bandwagon.

First Major League home run for Tyler Goeddel! Kid has been on fire the last week.

Phillies up 4-2 on the Marlins in the 8th.

Phillies win their 24th game of the season and take take the series from the Marlins.

Giancarlo Stanton is 1 for 18 with 12 strikeouts against the Phillies this season. In this series alone he went 0 for 10 with 9 strikeouts.
