Not sure what you watched. 0.08 second mark. Sure looks like he got dropped to me. Doesn't matter if he lost his balance you could say the same for Ventura when punched. Bother were out of balance and awkward.

LOL where did Ventura pull him to the ground? He picked him up off the ground. Are you sure you know the difference? This isn't a Nolan Ryan headlock for sure.Comment

Re: 5/31 - 6/12 Game Discussion Thread
Mannys punch really wasnt that good either to be fair. He did make contact but it was not hing like Odor. And Ventura stepped on his glove at the same time. Thats why he lost his balance. I wish it had been a little better. Maybe he would stop acting like a moron for no reason.Comment

Re: 5/31 - 6/12 Game Discussion Thread
Aside from that, Ventura's punch that is being mentioned here either didn't land or did zero damage. Machado's momentum wasn't altered one bit. I've watched the thing 10 times already on MLB.tv and frame-by-frame shows Ventura missing or just barely grazing him. Then Machado threw, connected, and Ventura clearly got the worst of it and went to the ground. It was Machado swinging and Ventura turtling that brought them both to the ground.

No one was saying Manny lost the fight. He connected, but he also got brought down that's all I'm saying. No one argued the punch. I'll leave it at that.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 06-07-2016, 11:11 PM.Comment

Re: 5/31 - 6/12 Game Discussion Thread
You should watch the MLB.tv feed. I have that exact frame up on my TV right now, lol. Machado is pulling back his right cross, Ventura is splayed off at an angle (clearly off balance and trying to grab onto something), then uses his right hand and grabs at Machado's left hand while he's sideways to Machado. Ventura can't latch on, then he grabs Machado by the right leg and sort of makes a couple of attempts to tackle him as the camera cut away to the benches clearing. Check out 1:38:50 on the MLB.tv feed and rewind it as many times as you need. I think this feed makes it look more likely (maybe 40% likely) that Ventura connected, but it was a weird punch where Ventura swung down instead of up or through like a boxer would.
By the way, Ventura's heater was 99 mph.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Ventura pretty clearly tried to pull Machado to the ground as Machado had already connected with his right hand and Ventura was going down.

I'll give Ventura this, he's got a quick right arm (shocking, I know). Hard to tell if he connected even in slow motion with that arm speed.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Seems like I missed a few walkoffs tonight with my nap. Too bad.
And no surprise Machado and Ventura were involved in such thuggery. Two detestable players.
But oooooof, holy ****, the dude ****ing DDTed him!Comment
