lol, Cavs-Cubs-Lions all winning in the same year. Might as well throw the Leafs in there too and complete the big 4 grand slam of craziness. That'd be like 300 combined years of suckage erased by championships.

I think you were looking at the wrong teams in this joke.

Giants are playing across the bay tonight, and for the first time on 40 years, an NL team will forgo the DH rule as Bumgarner is batting the whole game.

So the schedule makers decided it made sense for us to go to San Diego for two games, fly up to Seattle, then come back down to LA for this west coast trip. I feel like there could have been a better way to do that.

MadBum to hit for himself tonight vs the A's. No DH will be used.

Can't they use the DH to hit for someone else? Surely they have a decent hitter on the bench? Or someone could use half the day off, Posey perhaps ?

Words can't express how well Didi Gregorious has done at ss after the huge shadow left by Jeter.

One of the better under the radar players Cashman brought in.

Pineda with 12ks through 6. Where the hell has this been, to his credit he's pitched very well in the month of June. Too bad this offense is bipolar.

Maybe Madbum just loves hitting that he takes the chance whenever he can. However, if he were to get hurt while batting all hell will break loose.

It's fine that Bumgarner is going to DH, but the implication that he's actually a good hitter (by professional hitting standards) is just dumb to me. He's batting .222 over the past two seasons. Mike Hampton was basically Ted Williams by comparison.

What's it do to the ego and confidence of the guys that get to ride the pine tonight instead of getting 4 AB at DH?

He's not DH'ing he's just batting for him self. The Giants have the DH in their pocket. Why not let Bum hit and use the DH to bat for a crappy hitter, or let Posey DH and the backup catcher catch? That makes more sense to me. But who am I to question Bruce Bochy?
