Serious question though, would a full rebuild ever work in NY?
Assuming they have well educated fans, who realize rebuilding to get younger rather than signing a bunch of 30 somethings, is the way to go. Then yes it will work. Hell the Knicks have been in full rebuild mode for a decade.

I wouldn't call the Knicks exactly being in full rebuild mode. Last time I check, a rebuilding team doesn't(or at least shouldn't) be trading away 1st round picks, especially unprotected lottery picks. Not as important, but they also don't own their own 2nd round pick until 2022.

But I really feel like Yankees "rebuild" is just gonna end with Yankees trading these prospects, getting big players again, and then signing top players for huge amount of money and be a typical Yankees team all over again.

Most likely, they'll never learn. Just look at the Cubs, that's how it should be done. Totally suck for a decade, hit homeruns on every top 5 pick, and away you go.

Mets did it when Sandy Alderson was hired.

Um the Knicks have been in playoffs 3 times in 10 years.

Scott Feldman, who was an Astro this morning, will face Houston in the bottom of the 14th.

Edit: That didn't take long. Altuve singled and then Correa drove him in with a double, just missing a homer.

              Astros win 2-1 in 14.

When you make the playoffs in the East, does it really count?

I meant Yankees specifically. In hockey they talk about if a rebuild would ever work in Toronto, and as they're proving right now,it's not just working, but could have bigger long term impact than originally thought. In basketball, they wonder if rebuild in LA would work for the first time ever, and so far seems like people still on the fence about it. So just seeing if Yankees would really commit 100% to it.

The biggest TV draw in the sport, I'm sure they'd want to be playoff contenders as long as possible and avoid sucking to do so. Regardless though, we'll still probably see a 4-5th place Yankees team on TV more than top teams.

Someone needs to remind him he's not an Astro anymore.

Um, he was 5-3 with Houston. He's 0-1 with Toronto. And don't act like being 2.5 games ahead of Houston makes the Jays world beaters in comparison. Lol.

Jared cosart pulled after 3 1/3 innings in his padre debut. Trade him back for Luis Castillo
