What's up with Minute Maid Park? During Jays-Astros series so far, they keep bringing up some issues with it. Something with the dirt not being great by homeplate?

And most notable one, their new LED lighting. Many jays players wearing the eye black for night games, cause of those new lights.

I'm gonna lmao if the Yanks take 3 outta 4 from the Mets. Sev looked electric, and "The Sanchise" got his first hit, the future is here.

Cardinals now hold the 2nd wildcard spot by a 1/2 game over the Marlins.

The Twins have scored 35 runs in the last 3 games. What the hell are you doing, Cleveland?

Please Twins, run out of gas when you face the Jays later this month.

Sooo, are the Indians going to choke their way out of the AL Central crown? Sure seems like it.

Lot of baseball to be played, but I have to be honest...I'm always leery of teams that are boosted up by a hot stretch. I prefer a team that consistently plays at the same level all year (see the Cubs or Nats for the most part this year). Take away Cleveland's hot streak and they've been fairly mediocre...it doesn't mean they are mediocre (heck, they had the hot streak), but I just look at teams like that a little more incredulously than the consistent teams.

We got our butts handed to us today by the Reds. Lost 2 out of 3 in Cincinnati. Can't do that if you want to make the playoffs for a 5th straight year.

On plus side, they split 4 game series vs Red Sox and took a makeup game vs Os during this hot stretch. Now hopefully they can also beat Tigers/Astros abunch(14 combined games vs the two). Would help clear WC picture

Speaking of playoff race, Tigers now in the 2nd WC spot.

Things gonna get crazy in standings once the division matchups really start happening.

Uhh, the Rangers are doing what you'd want them to. Look at the records now...

                      Texas 62-46
                      Baltimore 61-45
                      Toronto 61-47

If Baltimore and Toronto win today, they all have 62 wins and then Toronto can control their own destiny against Baltimore. They have 6 games left against Baltimore; 0 against Texas. They go 4-2, there's two games made up and they're ahead. If they can't beat the O's later this season, it doesn't really matter.

After last year, I want home field throughout the playoffs. If games 1 and 2 had been in Toronto, they are likely at worst tied 1-1 going to KC and maybe that series plays out a bit differently.

You'd still have KC fans turning a double into a HR by reaching over the wall lol.

Home field is really only important for gm5(in lds) and 7(in LCS/ws). Look at Rangers one, Jays lost both home games to start before taking 2 on road. And NBA too, Raptors had home advantage in first 2 rounds this year, and lost gm1 of both. GM7 at home obviously played in their favor both times, but that's my point.

Jays looking like they're going with 6 man rotation for the time being. Will monitor Sanchez each and every start to see if there's any signs of fatigue.

So the rotation now will be:
                          Stroman,Estrada,Dickey,Happ,Liriano,Sanchez

If their starters can go 7 innings per start, then that obviously helps out the bullpen alot too. Osuna,Biagini,Grilli,Benoit putting up good numbers(Benoit in limited time obviously). Cecil and whatever AAA guy fills out the remaining part of the bullpen, hopefully can hold their own too.

I was just going to mention this. I like this move and it can possibly save Sanchez from going into the pen but if he DOES go there it'll be during the playoffs where EVERYTHING matters and his stuff is good enough to get a quick out.

Come playoff time, they'll only need 4 starters anyways. Estrada,Happ,Stroman,Dickey is a good enough rotation for that. If Liriano could find his old Pirates success with Martin behind the plate, he could even take over in the rotation in favor of Dickey or Stroman for playoffs.

Obviously they have to get to the playoffs first. The way things are going, 94 wins looks like it could be enough for the AL East title. 90-92 wins could be the 2 WC spots. So they really just have to win 30-34 games(meaning lose 20-24 games) to do that.
