well i have been a redsox fan my entire life and at my school it ii not very bad at the moment as far as bandwagon fans go. this whole series almost all the guys picked sides and most of them were already yankee or red sox fans already. their were a few who just kind of latched on this last month but they dont go around talking ****. so right now their aint much bandwagoning going on but it will probably get worse next week.

Re: What do you think of bandwagon fans?

              My opinion is this:

There's nothing wrong with bandwagoners as long as they only take a rooting interest in the team and follow up on it the next year. I'm not a bandwagon fan by any stretech (I still don't like the Sox and Yanks personally) but I respect what the Sox have done and i'm personally rooting for them. Last season I rooted for the Cubs BUT what made me different then your regular bandwagoner was that I kept in touch with the Cubbies and Marlins throughout '04.

The folks that gets into riots and don't even know the players' names are NOT real fans of the sport and shouldn't really call themselves fans of the particular team.

So I say this the more the merrier but have some objectivity to it PLEASE!

While I am not a bandwagon Houston fan, my reason for them being my team is a bit odd. For my 13,14,15,16 year old little league teams we were the Astros. So naturally I became a Stros fan. Been one since 1999

Yeah, my friend is like that. It's unbelievable. He says the Yanks are his second favorite team and he always makes fun of me when the Sox lose. So he was talking smack and saying it is over when the Sox were down 0-3. Then when the Sox pull it to 3-2, he tells me that he kind of wants the Red Sox to win now.
