    Incredible.
Felt like playoff baseball to me, which is good, because this team is not the greatest at coming back. Could/should have 7 or 8 walkoff wins, instead of only 3.

The Phillies finish off their season series with the Marlins this weekend. Oddly enough, in the 19 games this year, the Phillies only faced Jose Fernandez one time. Wow.

I dunno, he kinda looks like Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker to me.

Of all the good storylines to come out of the Sox season, JBJ hitting 25 HR's could be my favorite. Never would have guessed it.

Joe takes Cessa out at 64 pitches, brings in Pazos. This clown better be gone next year.

Agreed. I realize theirs not a ton of good managers sitting out their to hire but I think it's time for Joe to go. Honestly I doubt it will happen though.

Looking at the Postseason Projections chart on mlb.com is really awesome.

Chicago's postseason chances haven't gone lower than 91%, and that was on April 8th.

Atlanta has been at 0% THE ENTIRE SEASON. Never once even gotten up to 1%. At least Minnesota waited to May 17th to drop to 0%.

Joe shouldn't go anywhere. He's not a magician. This team shouldn't even be in the position it's in, we overachieve because of some combination of Yankee magic, Joe micromanaging games at times to a fault, and Cashman's moves.

Fire a top 10 manager and replace him with who? Close your eyes, let someone read you the names on our roster and ask if Joe is the problem. We aren't even supposed to be in it right now.

I don't really care for a lot of his bullpen management decisions though to be honest. He definately has room to improve their in my opinion.

He's trying too hard to work match ups right now because he doesn't have enough reliable arms to just let them go out there and work for a full inning. He's basically shielding himself from their volatility.

"Kirby Yates sucks, but if he can go out there and get this one guy, then I can go to Layne for the 2 lefties and I can still go back to both of them the next day"

This is the kind of stuff he's trying to pull off. Is it smart? I think yes because the reality is we don't have anybody left. I'm sure if Joe still had Chapman we wouldn't have seen that train wreck 9th. If we had Miller we wouldn't have to overwork Dellin so much. He makes some super questionable decisions and like I said yesterday's loss is on him, but it's not like he's leaving Mo on the bench. He's trying to take the scrap heap of arms he has in the bullpen and combine that with inconsistent starting pitching.

In the beginning of the year, the only strength we had was leading after 6 innings we knew the game was over but even then we had trouble getting there. Now we don't even have that lock down.

Tanaka gets tired the other day and wants to come out, he does it. Now we had a 4 run lead and 6 outs to go. Every single person he brought in the game after that point struggled, minus Layne. He shouldn't have taken Layne out, but when you throw out 4 relievers and they can't hold a 4 run lead with 2 innings, you're out there with a knife in a gun fight. And when you add in the fact that Dellin was exhausted, it was basically a butter knife. I don't know, I guess it's because I've been expecting this team to crash and burn for years now and it never does, and I think Girardi is a big part of that. This guy is turning water to wine but as soon as he hands the cup back and it's still water people want his head.

Should be an interesting/crazy final 2 weeks in the AL. Outside of Rangers/Indians, nobody else at this point is even guaranteed a playoff spot.

Jays,O's,Red Sox all battling for AL East
Yankees,Tigers,Mariners,Astros all trying to catch the Jays/O's in the Wild Card

The current projections is 92 wins to win AL East, and 89 wins for a WC spot. So basically if someone wants to move up in the standings, they'd need to go no worse than 10-5 to have a shot.
