Yeah but I wouldnt be surprised if him eventually going to the bullpen is discussed. If Pedros not receptive to this then the Sox may say whats the point.

Originally posted by SportsmanTOI think that Pedro will stick with the Red Sox or go to Anaheim. I think that Pedro realizes he has it good in beantown and it would make no sense for him to leave just because of money.
We'll have to see what kind of offer Epstein makes but if it's a good one then i'd stay.

Re: Where's the loyalty?
The Red Sox will not trade both Lowe and Pedro. Therefore it's obvious who they'll keep. Pedro. While Pedro isn't the same Pedro of 99,he's still a damn good pitcher. Lowe is still incredibly inconsistent, with only 1 good year and 2 horrible years following his 1 good. Somebody will pay him the big dollars though,I seriously doubt its the Sox.Comment

Re: Where's the loyalty?
The only way Lowe is in Boston next year is if Jason Varitek demands they re-sign him or else he won't re-sign. Lowe and Varitek have been playing together since their days in the Mariners farm system. And I'm rather confident the Red Sox want to re-sign Varitek at all costs.
Pedro will be in Boston if Lowe isn't and if he doesn't demand more money than what Schilling is being paid. I think its better than 50% Pedro re-signs with the Red Sox, but I won't be shocked to see him sign else where.Comment
