...so, I think we're getting close to calling the Bartolo Colon experiment a failure. The guy hasn't had "stuff" for a few years, but he lived with pinpoint location/control. Now that he can't locate he's throwing BP out there...4-0 Houston and he hasn't recorded an out.

He was only signed because he's fat and is a marketing gimmick. An attempt to distract while hoping and praying the development of at least 3 of our 35 pitching prospects works out well enough to make all this **** worth it.

Good win for the Cubs after the disaster in the 1st game. Hopefully the rain holds off tomorrow so I can catch the rubber game.

Good win for the Cubs after the disaster in the 1st game. Hopefully the rain holds off tomorrow so I can catch the rubber game.

One bad self-destructing inning for the Cubs in the first game of the double header cost them the game. But the Rockies returned the favor by producing their own self-destructing inning in the 2nd game, plus Lackey was unhittable in the 2nd game. You can't expect to win games when you commit errors all over the place. Bring on the rubber match.

I haven't seen a lot of Houston until this series...they are really, really good (and I'm not saying that because they're beating us down). I'm really impressed with their lineup from top to bottom, plus they have a very versatile bench. If they get the pitching to match the bats, I think they will be there until the end in the AL.
