Washington has to do something about their pitching...they have an elite offense, but their bullpen is just trash. I know, it's like the 100th time we've said this...but it's still just as true.

I know the Braves are hoping to get something for Dickey/Colon in a trade, but at this point I don't see anyone wanting them. I'd rather see us part ways and roll with a rotation of Teheran, Foltynewicz, Garcia, Newcomb, and Sims.

Regarding the Braves Jon Paul Morosi floated Jaime Garcia's name as a possible fit in trade during the deadline with the Blue Jays if they're still in it.

Garcia has been Atlanta's best pitcher all year and it's not even close...his record is poor due to run support, but he has turned in good to great starts each time out.

Good win Bosox. Gomez is on the mound with 1st and 2nd and 1 out. Foregone conclusion.

If the Phillies can at least get to 40 wins this year that would be great.

Don't think we'll see Marco Gonzales pitching at the major league level again anytime soon

We only lost by 2 possessions, so it wasn't that bad. Also, I'm not the kind of person to advocate anyone lose their job, but Christian Bergman, and Casey Lawrence should never pitch another inning in the majors ever again.

But he's staying on off-speed pitches so well, you have to get him to speed up somehow so you can be effective with offspeed away from his barrel.
Yes...I'd go up and in and then low and away. That said, do we really think he's going to maintain a near .450 BABIP (I know, a lot of it is all the homers and his exit velocity)? I just have a hard time seeing it...if I had to guess, I'd say he finishes the year at around .300-.310 with 45 homers.

A week ago you were advocating for the trainer and physician to be fired because they weren't preventing injuries

In the context of the conversation being that Judge is nimble for his size, Trout was the best comparison of big players that are more nimble than they should be.

If we are talking body type, power and size, sure. Stanton is the easy comparison.

I'm not sure in which way. I picked them to finish 3rd in the division in light of the momentum from last year. Just way too many holes and inconsistencies.
