Cubs back on top with a 9th inning rally off of that Nats bullpen. lol

Baez single, La Stella RBI hit, Jay 2-RBI double. Sandwiched in there was a shoulda-woulda-coulda 1-out double play chance that Daniel Murphy wasn't able to turn

Imagine if this Nats team had Houston's bullpen? How many more wins might that be worth?

The Nats bullpen might be worse than the Brewers. Scary.

They've signed K-Rod and might add Jason Grille to shore things up.

Bandaids...those guys aren't going to be difference makers. They need a Chapman/Miller type acquisition. I just don't know if any impact reliever like that is available this year.

Because taking guys not good enough for Detroit and Toronto's bullpens is the way to go. I hope you are being sarcastic.

They also signed Kevin Jepsen I think. He used to pitch for the Rays.

The signing was stupid...$12MM+ for a 44-year old pitcher.

C'mon, Copp. You should've know better than this.

I don't see the problem with signing Bartolo. The Braves weren't contending this year or signing any big money guys anyway. A modest 1-year deal doesn't set them back much, if any.

$12MM is modest? Trout makes $15MM/year.

No no no no I've been assured by smarter baseball fans that bullpens and closers are overrated.

....if you eliminate all the failures by Colon and Dickey this year, the Braves might be 6 or 7 games better and in the thick of things in the East and "The Rebuild (tm)" would be more progressed.
