It's like I'm going to see completely different team.

With Andrew Heaney back and Garett Richards getting close they may possibly cause some people problems.

I just want to see Trout do something absolutely bonkers when I'm at the games this weekend.

The Angels are definitely going for broke here. I would LOVE to see Trout in the playoffs and doing some amazing things.

Very sad to see Phillips traded...he's been fun to watch and a good addition to the team. I haven't even seen who we got back, but I can't imagine it was much.

I see now that the trade isn't done...it's up to Phillips to decide if he wants to go to LA.

It will be interesting. The Angels are on his no-trade clause. But he'd get a chance to play for a contender, with Mike Trout, and spend half the season in sunny LA.

Houston got thisclose to trading for Verlander. Verlander said no.

Braves got some catcher prospect. Tony Sanchez or something. Glad to see Phillips leave Atlanta. I've always hated him. Sucks that he's going to Anaheim who I obviously like too. But he'll be a nice addition. Needed too. Sucks that the Angels got all this bolstering just to try and make it to the gimmick game which is a crapshoot anyway. Still glad they're trying. Sucks to lose Maybin as he's been a nice piece for them too. Heaney and Richards get right too and things will look good.

Glad to see Verlander doesn't seem to be getting dealt. Supposedly vetoed or Astros got cold feet.

This is HUGE for the Astros! I really thought Verlander wasn't going to accept a trade to Houston.

Sad to see JV leave Detroit, but it was the right move for us. The tear-down is on like Donkey Kong in Motown. Long overdue. Painful. But necessary.

Verlander was arguably the best and most loved Detroit athlete of the last decade. It's hard to see him leave without having gotten to the mountaintop here, but happy endings are for movies and children's books. Wish him the best of luck in Houston and hopefully he gets that ring that he never got in D-town.

LOL, the Cubs website phrased it as Leonys Martin and cash for a PTBNL and cash. Seems like one team doesn't really need to include cash or Carrie Muskat got her streams crossed.
