Bryant still not right from that hand injury I don't think. Tons of weak contact for him lately. Very unusual.
Len Kasper was saying the same thing, that he's never seen a ball hit that far at Miller Park.

I've never seen anyone have as much soft contact as Jason Heyward.

      Good grief.

His swing is starting to revert to last year. Hopefully he can get it going again soon

Something needs to be done about these garbage umps. Just getting out of hand. Yesterday, Jays manager, starting pitcher and catcher got ejected in same at bat.

Gibbons ejected from dugout, Stroman ejected for getting angry at himself and ump being so conceded he thought the comments were towards him, and Martin ejected for telling the ump to stop challenging Stroman by taking off his mask and walking towards him after the ejection(along with Martin inserting non pg words in between). After ejections, cameras picked up that same umpire smiling at the whole thing, enjoying seeing Stroman escorted away by his bench coach.

Today, Angel Hernandez goes crazy too with everything like he always does, and he also takes off his mask challenging Jays starter while walking towards him. Camera angle perfectly shows Martin giving him a "Who do you think you are" type look without saying anything while walking past him. And Hernandez basically starts acting all high and mighty with his "come at me!" attitude knowing full well nobody can touch him.

Interesting, because his stat line has actually improved since the ASB.

                1st half: .254/.313/.385, 83 wRC+, .131 ISO

It certainly feels like he might be doing worse though. Also not sure what's going on with him and the leadoff spot. One minute he asks to bat there and Maddon praises him for it, the next minute he's batting 5th.

Earlier on MLB Tonight Pedro was ripping Angel Hernandez apart.

It was great. These umps are ruining the game.

I meant the last couple of games. He came out of the break on fire, but has cooled off the last few days. Obviously, I'm talking about a very small sample so there's a good chance he'll get back in a decent groove.

Wow, just saw that Rick Porcello is 4-14 this year. I wonder what the biggest drop-off in wins is from one year to the next for a Cy Young winner?

                        Cards win 1-0.

Wacha looked great. Nice to see Brett Cecil be ineffective yet again.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                          Corey Seager is a stud

Brandon Morrow out here throwing 90 mph curveballs. Making Buster Posey look silly

Pirates on the downward trend again. Horrible overall season records against teams like SF and SD won't get you a division crown.

Chris Taylor is good. Corey Seager is good. Brandon Morrow is good. Kenley Jansen is good.

                              This team is ridiculous.

Alex Wood is reasonably good also.

Dodgers are now more games over .500 (41) than Giants have wins (40).
