Since I'm the one that likes to post random milestones, tonight's 17 runs is the most the Cubs have scored in Philadelphia since May 5, 1937 when they won 17-4.

Adding to these.. Cubs set the record for runs scored at Citizens Bank, and they set their team record for largest victory (15 runs; I think I heard this on the broadcast)

It's great to see Simmons performing the way he has with the stick this year. He's 27 so he has at least 3-4 more really productive years left in him and of course his defense is out of this world. If he can keep up this same kind of production it adds a lot to that Angels lineup for the foreseeable future.

I'm not sure how much his performance is being noted in the national media but I think it deserves some acclaim.

17 is not the record at CBP. The Phillies scored I believe 22 against the Reds in 2009 or 2010.

It's getting some attention among the new media types, but not much else. He's cooled off a bit the last couple weeks but so has the team entirely. Hopefully this wakes then up again.

Stanton has fifty home runs. Not sure why you'd even pitch to him right now.

Nice to see Tanaka doing ace things. He's been fantastic after the all star break.

Rhys Hoskins does it again! 11th homer in his first 18 games! This is insane right now!

He and Stanton are destroying baseball's right now.

Should add Buxton hit 3 homeruns.

Matt Carpenter ties it in the bottom of the 8th with a solo shot!

Next up Tommy Pham. Come on Tommy Boy! How about a 2nd GW homerun!!!!

Pham looks like a really good player. Was he a unheralded prospect? Because I never heard anything about him.
