One of the things I like about Wrigley Field is the Ivy Walls. Only fitting Kevin Pillar would test it out himself:

I'm really liking the atmosphere of this Little League Classic game. Really cool, and I hope MLB keeps doing it in the future.

Not complaining about the win, but our big trade acquisition Justin Wilson continues to flounder. Since he's been with the Cubs, Wilson has thrown 94 strikes and 70 balls good for a 57% strike percentage. Before the trade, Wilson had thrown 63% of his pitches for strikes with Detroit. The MLB average this season is 63.5%.

I don't know if there are any good relievers that passed through revocable waivers, but another move to bolster the pen would be nice.

So Donaldson started at SS today.
Didn't catch the game, but wondered if anyone else saw how he did?

I just watched the last half inning of the Cubs come from behind win...what an absolutely awful defensive inning for Toronto. Amazing...

I think they need a managerial change.

Overall, Gibby isn't that bad a manager but sometimes....Yeah, sometimes you're left wondering "WTF is going on here!" I think he'll be around for another season, after that though? I think he's likely gone unless the Jays have a WS berth or championship.

Sounds like the Williamsport game was a big success. I'll have to check it out when it pops up on the On Demand channel. It's always nice when MLB does something that actually makes the game fun and taps into the generational aspect of the sport.

                        Dear MLB,

Please make the Little League Classic a yearly event.

Despite the fact that my Cardinals lost, that was very entertaining to watch.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I just re-watched it and Raffy Lopez might have had the roughest inning by a catcher that I've ever seen. Between him forgetting to throw to bases, Osuna throwing 55-footers, and just an overall sloppy time back there. Brutal. Osuna wasn't much better.

Was mostly away from baseball these last couple days unfortunately, but holy cow at Andrelton Simmons' highlights from Sunday's game. Wow.

The man is a joy to watch...so glad to see him back to his 2013 form with the bat (he's actually better). I remember after 2013 a lot of people predicted him to become one of the best players in baseball...his bat just never returned to that level until this year. Glad for him!

Having Cole face the top of the Dodgers' order for the 4th time not such a good idea.
