The Braves are only down 14-0 after 5. Folty has looked terrible the last handful of starts. The guy throws 8 hitless innings and then can't go a game without giving up 5 runs anymore. I never thought that the Braves would find their way to being the worst organization/team I root for between all sports, but here we are and the future doesn't exactly look that bright.

Interesting night in world of minor league baseball. Jays AAA, AA and A team's won tonight in walkoff fashion.

Craziest part, one won on a walkoff strikeout!

Huh? Don't they have the best or 2nd best farm system in the game? If anything, the only thing that looks bright is the future.

Another day, another incredible comeback win for the Dodgers.

Ya, I don't get the "future isn't bright" line. The majority of Atlanta's prospects are still in the system and their are a lot coming. They won't hit on a lot of them, but the depth of the system will hopefully help yield some talent.

Look, I'm not going to predict Atlanta wins it all in 2020...I have concerns with the way they've done the rebuild (focusing on pitching vs position players), but you can't argue about the talent that is in the system. It's there...it's just a matter of how much of it pans out vs flaming out.

After seeing Ryan Goins leave the game last night for the Jays i'm shocked, absolutely SHOCKED that he's in the lineup this afternoon.

                  Relieved, but shocked.

Basically all Colorado hitters have huge home/road splits for the same reason: Coors. In addition to the famous Coors effect on home performance, it hurts road performance because pitches move differently in the thin air.

No question Coors is a huge boon for hitters, but using home/road splits can exaggerate the effect.

WTF Jon? Reds score 9 runs in 2 innings.

And the game's not even over because the Cubs have scored 6. Fun day at Wrigley today.

He has these weird ones every so often. Remember Lester's last start before the break? Didn't he do the same thing? His ERA goes from 3.99 to 4.37 after this one.

Monty should get a medal for shutting the Reds down for 4.1 innings of 61-pitch relief. Cubs have come all the way back to tie it 9-9.

LOL. You know the hitter got a break when he starts to walk away from the plate dejected like he struck out looking only to be called back into the box by the ump. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

Grimm's specialty. I know homers are up across baseball, but he is a homer machine.
