Cardinals are now 4 1/2 back of the Cubs.
I believe the Cubs can play .500 these last 5 weeks and still win the division

Perfect example in the A's O's game of where the dead time in baseball is. O's get two outs, bring in a lefty for the lefty batter, he walks him on four pitches, they bring in a righty for the next guy. Probably more warmup pitches than actual pitches, leaves the game without getting anyone out or even throwing a strike.
The whole game just grinds to a halt when you get into the latter innings with weak bullpens that lack guys who can be trusted to get lefties and righties.
Don't think there is anything you can do about it, but the spectacle is ruined by the constant interruptions of pitching changesComment

The Red Sox are about to acquire an outfielder apparently according to multiple reports.
Could be Leony's Martin of the M's who was DFA today.
