Aww man. Just noticed the Brewers are off tonight. Can't formally clinch the NL Central until tomorrow then.

ESPN gives St. Louis only about a 10% chance at making the playoffs, likely lower after tonight's game. I never really looked at this series as a chance to eliminate STL, but there is that possibility with the Rockies up 3 or 3.5 games on them after tonight.

The score says one thing, but I'm not really sold that Lester is where he needs to be. The Cardinals are wearing out the warning track area in this one. Lester will need to find less bat with his pitches in the playoffs.

I know it won't change/shouldn't change, but tonight's Braves/Mets game is one reason why I wish how the W/L is assigned to pitchers would change. Max Fried left the game down 2-0 after 6+ innings...in the 8th inning a reliever gives up a solo home run to make it 3-0. In the 9th the Braves got two runs, but lost 3-2. IMO, the reliever should get the loss...

Yankees win, so the division lead is back down to 4 games. Magic number remains 3.
