That is one weird *** trade. It seems like the Dodgers unloaded a lot of known quantities but no one totally earth shattering for ol' man Kemp. This does feel like an AA type of move though.

The Phils are as we've found out being aggressive this offseason. There's a report that they knocked on the Jays door trying to acquire Marcus Stroman.

Kemp doesn't belong in the NL. He can't field for ****. At least the Braves got a few wild card pitchers.

Kemp is likely to be traded or cut.

I knew Atlanta would do something odd.

I'm surprised at the deal but I like it. Give the young guys a chance to play.

It’s a payroll move all the way around.

Braves take on more salary this year with Gonzalez’s contract (he’s already been DFAd) but get out of paying Kemp in 2019

Kind of similar to that Chris Johnson for Bourn/Swisher deal with Cleveland a few years ago.

Braves were shopping Markakis per rumors...wonder if they continue to push dealing him still.

At one point Markakis was linked with the Jays but I don't think that's happening.

Trash for trash. I can't stand anyone coming back to the Braves in that trade except for Culberson who might be valuable off the bench.

I'm glad we already cut Adrian Gonzalez. I hope we do the same to that pretentious asswad McCarthy and that loser Kazmir too.

Hopefully this all sets us up for the 2018/2019 offseason as well.

If Atlanta can somehow flip Markakis for pitching and then get Yelich I will be thrilled. An OF of Yelich, Inciarte, Acuna would be just what the doctor ordered. I am shocked we were able to move the Kemp contract for anything...

                            Boo!
I was hoping he'd remain with LA so when they played San Francisco, we could witness the Buffet Bowl between Kemp and Sandoval.

I'm just saying I can't and haven't been able to stand the guys we got back for a long while. But I understand why we did it and am hopeful it leads to a acquisition bonanza in the future.
