He'll get released. I can see a team like Oakland who's been reported to be looking for a outfield right handed bat whos got some pop.

Could also see teams like Minnesota, Toronto, Arizona going after him for cheap

Relevant to the Marlins' offseason so I put it here instead of Off Topic...LOL, I am growing to enjoy new reports of Jeter being bad at his new job on a daily basis.

Some of the tweets from that article about interactions between Marlins' fans and Jeter at a season ticket holder town hall meeting...

Jeter asks fans to be patient. What a joke of a franchise.

The more I hear about them the less sympathy I have ironically. I don't give a **** about Marlins Man trying to get Jeter to ride in his car. Hearing that someone cried because the team didn't sign pitchers brings up too many questions. Was this a child? I read that it was a woman but I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I just started compiling a list of things I'd cry about before crying about Hal Steinbrenner refusing to sign pitchers. I'll update when I finish it.

When the fan told him he didn't have much time left, Jeter should've told him, "Much time left for what? It wasn't 100 years ago that you guys won a championship. Trust me, I was there."

The Giants are starting to remind of the early 1980's Phillies. They are an aging team full of bloated contracts...and they double down by acquiring an aging player past his prime. Will be interesting to see how it works out for them...it worked for Philly for about 4 years longer than people thought it would.

If that's what it took to get Longoria, then I can see why Jays aren't dealing Donaldson. Only 1 good prospect out of this deal?

Longoria has had 1 good year out of the last 4. Jays could get a lot more for Donaldson. The Giants overpaid for Longoria IMO.

Im surprised they gave up on arroyo. Think hes gunna be really good. Couldve gotten someone better/younger than longo for him. Maybe used him to center a trade around for yelich.

Crowded middle infield now too in TB. Arroyo, Hechavarria, Duffy, adames, robertson to add to their crowded outfield

How soon before Archer, Souza and KK are dealt?

Really interested to see what the Rays look like this year.

MLB Network is talking about the Marlins seasons-tickets symposium with Derek Jeter.
Many quotes where fans are yelling at Jeter and the organization. Clearly they're frustrated.
Jeter asked for patience. One older fan remarked that he was old and didn't have much time left, lol.

I get the feeling Marlins fans aren't as upset about another rebuild as they're concerned that they're going to be hoodwinked again.
Will this new ownership simply try to increase the value of the franchise only to sell it again once they've made a nice return?
That seems to be what's happened in Miami for far too long.
