Blisters, allegedly from the new way the ball is spun and threaded.

Blisters don't just cause pain, but they changed the way his mechanics work.

I'm hoping he'll be relieved of said blisters this upcoming year, and can be back to who he was, but of course a year older.

Oh I think the Reds are interested in trading Billy Hamilton.
They just didn't get much interest in him yet.
They would love to get something for him and move Schebler to CF which would open up RF for Jesse Winker.
Living here in Cincy they have been talking about it a lot lately.
I highly doubt he is a Red come Opening Day.

so it looks like the Cardinals outfield alignment is Ozuna in LF, Pham in CF, Fowler in RF.

Orioles reportedly no longer "actively" shopping Manny Machado.

Ellsbury would now waive NTC for a few teams. SF is one of them

There's a report out there that the Cubs offered Addison Russell, Albert Almora Jr, and Mike Montgomery for Manny Machado, but the Orioles rejected it.

What's with all the old guys wanting to go to San Fran now? I've seen that Jay Bruce (while not that old his production is certain to fall off a cliff rather than slowly taper off) is keenly interested in signing there as well.

I read the O's want more pitching in any deal for Machado. 2 young, controllable arms. I don't blame them. Their rotation has been a dumpster fire for a while now.

I'm not sure what they think they can actually get from smart baseball teams for just 1 year of Machado. I also saw that the O's are not willing to grant a potential trade partner a window to negotiate a contract extension with him before a deal is finalized. So that also hurts their leverage.

The not actively shopping him is probably just a negotiating tactic. Everyone looking at the situation knows they must trade him because they aren't contending and Manny probably ain't re-signing in Baltimore.

Hmmm...I know a team that has a surplus of young arms and could use a 3B. If only we had money to re-sign him!

I guess they want to lose him for nothing cause all of those demands/conditions doesn’t fit a team in their position. Young controllable arms, no window to negotiate an extension while being the team trading away a player that can just walk away from whoever takes that deal? Yeah, not happening O’s.

That's probably the best deal they were going to get for Machado, unless someone overpays for him at the deadline. I don't think anyone is giving up 2 young, controllable arms for a rental this summer.

The rumor I heard was it wasn't all three, but some of those names were included in trade talks. From what I heard they were interested in a similar framework of the Cards-Braves Heyward-Miller swap. If that is the case, the above trade would likely have satisfied that.
