    Re: 2018 Spring Training Thread

I heard earlier today that the Yankees are holding Judge out of ST games to protect his shoulder. Uhm...was that planned? Everything I had read said he was ready and good to go...that doesn't seem good.

That would raise some red flags but I doubt he doesn't suit up at all. He will need to have at least SOME game action to get his timing down in a practical game situation. I'd expect him to get some ABs late in the spring if indeed they're easing him back into things.

Something funny about all the roster moves is new Boston coach Ron Roenicke is about to be on his third uniform number this week.

He was 10, then gave it to Eduardo Nunez when he signed
He was 20, then Alex Cora took it after giving his number 28 to JD Martinez.
Now he's getting a new number.

Honeywell appears injured. Left his bullpen after 8-10 pitches with an arm injury...a serious one.

            Dammit, Rays I blame you.

Russell Wilson will be in NYY's camp Monday.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be joining the Yankees in training camp Monday. A source told ESPN he will stay with the Yankees for six days.

Thank God. Don't think I care about anyone on that team except for him.

Hopefully this isn’t like “knee strains” before the MRI that inevitably reveals an ACL Tear... the forearm is a terrifying indicator of the surgery that will not be spoken of...

Shohei starting as a pitcher Saturday, possibly as a hitter Monday. Can't wait!

He sent one ball over the scoreboard in right field and one over the batter’s eye in center, perhaps the only thing preventing Shohei Ohtani from launching one over a nearby celestial body being the moon’s absence in the early Thursday sunlight.

Looking at the Mets Spring Training schedule I might try to go to a game where they play the Astros or the Yankees. Traffic is going to be a pain.

                                Welcome back baseball.

                                Oh how I've missed you.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
