I wonder what kind of dilemma the Angels will find themselves in if Ohtani turns out to be better at the plate than on the mound.

I still wonder if he would've been better fit in the NL. Would you rather be in AL playing DH every now, or in the NL where he will be hitting 3 or so times every 5 days.

AL is better so he can just DH. Wouldn't really want to be throwing him in the outfield much on off days. It can be done but it's not the best on the arm.

NL wouldn't be about playing OF, it'd be about him still hitting since he'd be hitting in games he is pitching. And on those off-days, he could still be a pinch hitter for a pitcher late in the game which would help out a teams bench management since they'd still have other options if they need to do further pinch hitting and defensive replacements.

I get that but I feel like the Angels (and just about every other team) views him as a pitcher more than a hitter. The Angels need starters not necessarily offense.
