I personally think there are torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder.

Still scratching my head at why Snitker brought in Rex in that situation then after the walk kept him in to face the lefty. He got saved by a bigger dumb managerial decision by the Phils.

It was funny cuz my progression was like "Cmon Freddie" then "oh ya, intentional walks" to "****, Markakis doesn't have pop anymore" to "well, maybe" to "Cmon you ****" to "**** YEAH KAKES"

I'm baffled. Playing isn't going to make it healthy. He couldn't pass a physical to get traded.

Sure, but 7 hits and 3 BBs against 2 Ks in 3.1 IP is pretty crap-tastic any way you slice it. He didn't really need Schwarber's assistance. And against a light-hitting Marlins squad.

I still say meh. The only real hard hit was the ball schwarber misplayed off the wall. There were a couple of flairs of the end of the bat and a hit that would've been a dp if schwarber didn't misplay a single into a triple and bring the infield in.

Lester looked fine to me with how he was actually executing pitches.

Kapler wasnt the only manager to corch it up yesterday. I see nobody mentioned Alex Cora yesterday. Boston started the 8th up 4-0. Joe Kelly and Carson Smith walked 4 out of the first 6 batters. Then with bases loaded and 2 outs, Smith throws Span a meatball that he hits off the wall and clears the bases for a triple. Cora's reason for not bringing Kimbrel in? He told Kimbrel before the game that he would only come in at the start of a inning.

And I don't blame him. That collapse was on Kelly and Smith.

Definitely was but if you are playing to win, how do you leave Smith on the mound in that situation. Let Kimbrel get that last out.

Regarding Donaldson: I feel like it's an ego thing with him. He wants to be out there. We'll see how things go but the Jays have botched injury situations up at times. (the whole blister issue with Sanchez is probably the biggest one with this management group) Donaldson is DHing tonight and probably for the next few games.

Seeing the replay...I think he's out. I'll be surprised if they reverse it, but it was pretty clear he was tagged on his arm before he got to the plate.
