A's starters giving up a ton of runs at home is kind of annoying. If they're going to do that at that ballpark, it's gonna be a long season.

Shohei Ohtani looks to be a much better as a pitching prospect from what i've seen today. He needs to mix in his breaking pitches a little more but whew, that Fastball is something else!

Regarding the HRs....This is going to be bonkers once the weather warms up. There's no way MLB can continue to deny that the baseballs aren't juiced in some way.

And honestly I am fine with it. Problem is that you can't worry about the length of games, and then encourage 8-3 scorelines.

Pirates close to starting the year 3-0. I like that the offense has stepped up in the first three games. Happy that Glasnow pitched well in relief.

Day 4 of the Rays season and they've finally got a run in the first 5 innings of a game. Still only got the one in the game and lost again, but still. It's a shame as the pitching has been surprisingly excellent, really making it tough for the Red Sox.

I would even argue that the pitch to Carpenter wasn't a bad one.

It was low and outside. Carpenter had to reach out for it and made solid contact.

I would want my pitcher to sit in that spot all day.

Happy that the Astros took 3 of 4 in Arlington because they could not beat Texas for anything until last season but even more happy with the debut Gerrit Cole had for Houston. He was fantastic.

I don't have much issue with these juiced balls. I'm on the side of the fence(no pun intended) who likes seeing more offense. Just as long as it doesn't hurt the game in any way. Unfortunately, more juiced balls favors these huge HR teams like the Yankees who'll be destroying balls in AL East all season long.

What Manfred does say many times is that it's not length of game he's worried about, it's 'pace of play'. 3 hour game with dead time throughout is different than 3 hour game where things are constantly happening.

I know lots of people hate possibility of something like pitch clocks, restricting mound visits and so on, but I think it's needed. Even watching a game today, one instance the pitcher got ball back, took about 20 seconds, then catcher calls timeout. Another 20 seconds later, hitter calls timeout. So we go around minute and not a single pitch thrown. Moments like that need to be eliminated.

I prefer good pitching. I'm really gonna miss what we had a few years ago where it seemed like every pitcher was ****ing ridiculous every time out and we had so many insane pitching matchups daily.

But yeah, offense is fun too and easier to understand for the casual fans that everyone wants to bring into the fold.
