    #PitchersWhoRake ....... Miles Mikolas.

2 run shot to give the Cards a lead. His first career hit and HR. Not a cheap one, either.

And now DeJong blows it open with a 3 run shot. 8-3 in the 6th

I get the feeling Gabe Kapler is filling the Bo Porter role.

Cubs picking up right where they left off yesterday, leaving two stranded in the top of the first.

I wish the Brewers could have had an extended road trip to start the season.

Except the Phils are fast tracking their rebuild whereas Porter was there as a bridge to when the Astros would get better.

Cubs offense so far...yikes. Reds shut them out 1-0 today.

Yeah I just saw those "highlights" i'm sure the offense will come along soon.

Definitely. But once that team is really solid, Kapler could be removed for someone else.

Then again, I'm for the analytical side of things and I think Kapler understands that but is caught up in trying to think too far ahead. If he can adjust, reel it in a bit more, he will stick around.

I guess you can say that about every manager.

Really excited to see how Newcomb does against a really, really tough Nationals lineup tonight...he looked like he had really grown in Spring Training, but now it's for real.

Not really his fault...Freddie's error was stupid. Should be 2-outs, nobody on. Oh well...

At least we got shut down by a righty this time.

And Chatwood was pretty dope. So that's a positive.
