Uglier than I'd have liked it to be at times, but we'll take any win we can get the way things are going right now.

Hmm.

Giancarlo said he didn't think the slide by Tyler Austin was bad at 2B. Well, the dude came in with spikes high...same thing that hurt Pedrioa's knee. HR on MLB Tonight was arguing he thought the 2B took to late to show he was going for the put out rather the double-play so Austin couldn't adjust - I don't buy that though.

What exasperated the problem was Joe Kelly messing around. He tried to hit him, missed...threw a couple of good sliders down in the zone then just plunked him with a 95+ on the hip. Austin knew he was going to get hit - I think it was that Joe Kelly proceed thru the AB like he tried and oh well.

I expect more shenanigans today.

I knew I shouldn't have passed on him in fantasy. Ah well, hindsight is 20/20 and both the fantasy and regular season are early. I'm a bit surprised to not see Justin Wilson develop into a starter like I thought he would be when I saw him with the Pirates. I suppose this is why I am not a scout.

Back to back HRs, 5 straight walks, sac fly, pop out, 2B off a misplayed flyball to RF then a ground out. In total, Cardinals scored 7 runs in the 7th on only 3 hits.

Read an article on Ohtani that said he's a 3.9 from home to 1st. That's really fast. I had no idea he could move like he can. How many tools does he actually have???
