Dodgers with a combined no no in Mexico.

    Cole makes it look easy.

    Albert gets 3000 and 3001.

    Love this game.

Cole's transformation is really something. I'm happy to see him and Trevor Bauer finally living up to their potential after what they did at UCLA. And Cole did it against the Diamondbacks, who've just been world-beaters so far. Really impressive.

Pretty damn amazing how much stuff happened on this Friday of baseball. 3,000 from Pujols, 16 K from Cole dominating the Diamondbacks, combined no-hitter for the Dodgers in Mexico, Matt Harvey's punk *** getting DFAed, Harper with a 2 HR game, Trout finishing a homer away from the cycle, etc.

This was really his first AWFUL start of the year though. In hindsight, he was the WORST pitcher to start last night's game. Of all the pitchers in our rotation, he is by far the most "emotional" and I think he let everything get him to pumped up. In his previous start, a really good one, he was sitting 94-96 with pinpoint location. Last night from the start he was pumping 99-100 in there, but couldn't locate it. By the 2nd inning, you could tell from his body language he was frustrated and just "throwing" instead of pitching.

I keep waiting on him to grow up and move past these type of starts...and he may not ever do it, but he's too great a talent to just shelve at this point, IMO.

He actually did decent...gave up 6 in the 2nd but 0 in the 1st. 3rd. 4th, 5th. He gave Snit innings and kept SF at bay which is a great job and a bit of maturity.

When he was in the Astros' system I was pretty high on him because of the velocity. I'd hoped he could reign everything else in and let his talent work.

He's got a great arm and he's one that I've always kept an eye on because I spent a good stretch of time paying attention to what he was doing in Houston's system. I hope he eventually pans out and I hope it's for Atlanta and not at a later stop (unless, of course, he returns to the Astros who get him on the pine tar program). [emoji38]

Chatwood off to a Chatwoodian start here, walking the first 2 Cardinals of the game.

And a Chatwoodian end to the 1st inning as he wriggles out of danger.

And he gets a call wrong in the 2nd inning on a play at home. Replay corrects him.

The Indians are just a game over .500 now. Oddly enough, they have the 3rd worst bullpen in baseball by FIP.

They're still leading the AL Central, which is a bit like being merely below average height while standing next to midgets. The AL Central could be the worst division ever with 3/5 teams (CWS, KC, DET) pretty much eliminated before the season started.

Yadi absorbs a brutal foul tip somewhere below the belt off a Jordan Hicks 101 mph fastball. Has to come out of this one. Tommy Pham left injured earlier...birds on some crutches instead of on the bat.

Wong walks it off in the 10th. 8-6 final.

                              That one hurts.
