What do you think it would take to land Ben Sheets...maybe over the summer before the deadline? They have a great farm system with Weeks, Fielder and Hardy, and they just traded for Capellan. You think Youk, Shoppach and a pitcher like Lester or Alvarez would entice them? Great time of year to play GM!

Originally posted by jt45The next thing you will see is Hanley Ramirez/Kevin Youkilis/Bronson Arroyo to FLA for AJ Burnett. That is my prediction.

Re: Renteria to Red Sox?
No way Hudson gets dealt to the Red Sox. Youkilis doesn't fit with them because he is a third baseman, they have Chavez. Ramirez could fit with them because even though he is a shortstop he is projected as being able to play any infield position besides catcher and possibly every outfield position as well. Still, Beane would rather trade outside the AL and not have to face Hudson. I'd be shocked if the Sox ever landed him.
I think Burnett is a possibility. I think the Marlins are willing to part with him right now and the Red Sox have expressed interest. Just because they signed Renteria doesn't mean they are eager to trade Ramirez, but would if given the right situation. Do they like Burnett enough to trade this guy (plus some others) for him? That remains to be seen.
I think Milwaukee would do best to keep Sheets. They could either try and sign him and build around him or wait until July when his value has increased, assuming he doesn't have a terrible first half.Comment

Re: Renteria to Red Sox?
Great addition by the Red Sox although he's not worth 10 mil but money's not an issue for the Red Sox anyways.
I wonder what's going to happen to Kevin Youkilis? I wish there was some way to get the Greek God of Walks into a Jays uni.Comment
