Worry about your own local team!! Oh I forgot, Oregon does not have anyone to follow unless you drive to Seattle. But I am sure the Beavers keep you mighty challenged!!

Wow, here at New York we sure are spoiled.

Does anyone realize how many teams would love to have a potential rotation of Mussian, Vasquez, Wright, Brown, and Milton?

Yet, the Daily News, for example, was quick to make this out like it was only capable of beating a Triple A team.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Now that you've mention it, yes, I have enjoyed watching the likes of Khalil Greene, Jason Bay and Oliver Perez hone their skills the last few years while playing here... the simple toned-down AAA game, or any minor league game is one that can only be truly appreciated by a genuine baseball fan, unlike the spoiled-rotten yankee fan who gets to watch the most talented players in the world give uninspired and over-payed (and frankly, insulting) efforts in front of the richest yuppies in NY.

But, anyway, as for Steve Trout...er.. Jaret Wright, I guess we'll see what the next physical shows.

So because I don't live in the isolation of Oregon... I'm not a genuine baseball fan? Does this mean I must move Northwest to gain this status?

Yeah the Yanks spend money... but there just using what they have. Its not them thats flawed... its the system. So dont blame them because any team with that much money would do the same.

And every player in NY no matter what sport knows that if he gives a half-assed effort... he will be booed and ripped by the media.

Being able to enjoy a minor league game, IMO, does indicate a deeper appreciation for the game. What that has to do with the fact I live in a log cabin up here in the great Northwest, I don't know, but nice try. There is minor league ball everywhere.

I agree with you that the system is flawed, but taking advantage of a flawed system then blaming that system is a cop-out. Just say, we got lots of money we need to win and that's what we're going to do... don't try and justify things, it's irritating...

In the meantime, spend away Skanks... your lack of character/chemistry ..etc, becomes more and more evident every season. The more players you pile up, the more hilarious and satisfying your inevitable plummet is for the rest of baseball.

I for one am extremely happy about it. A lot of Yanks fans didnt want him. Now his money can be put towards Pavano or Beltran hopefully. We need pitching though.

ESPN saw it as more than a rumor. They said the doctors found signs of arm damage in the MRI but the issue of whether the physical was failed or not was up to the interpretation of the doctors.
