Another replay rant...why do the Braves even bother. When is the last time we won one? Acuna was clearly on the bag as the ball arrived...

Cubs getting no hit by Adam Plutko thru 6 innings. LOL. This team is going to give all its fans high blood pressure this season.

EDIT: Thankfully, Antonio Rizzo breaks thru with a 7th inning double to prevent getting no hit by a relatively crappy pitcher.

Don't care. The 2016 'ship is on the books. Gleyber Torres can break the home run record for all I care.

Well, i'm glad the Jays aren't the only team that looked bad against plutko. At least they scored some runs off him :P

Cubs quickly chase Plutko in the 7th with two hits and the tying run to 3rd with nobody out.

And there goes that scoring chance. Rizzo out at home on what had to be a safety squeeze.

                  Say it ain't so, Joe.

No outs. Losing 1-0 in the 7th with runners on 1st and 3rd and Javy Baez (the NL RBI leader) at the plate and you have him....bunt? So Rizzo (who is very slow) out at the plate quite easily, we go to 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Well played, sir. Taking the "L" on this decision for sure.

He's flashing back the 2016 series...remember when he had Baez bunt with Heyward (I think) on 3rd?

So the Cubs quickly turned a sure scoring chance (no such thing for this club, really) into a total loss and continue to trail 1-0. Even if Joe Maddon knows that his team sucks at situational hitting, there's no need to make it worse by calling a lamebrained bunt play with a home run hitter at the plate. Worst case scenario is Javy hits into a GIDP and a run scores. Or he strikes out and Rizzo is still on 3rd.

The infuriating thing is Willson Contreras actually had a good AB, hitting to the right side for an infield single with Rizzo on 2nd to set up the inning nicely.

Well that was easily a disappointing series for the Braves. They made the Phillies look like they trotted out 3 Roger Clemens in back to back to back games. Felt like they struck out more these 3 games than they did the previous 40 combined.

and I was right to be worried with that part of the lineup coming up. That Bunt call was absurd. I'd rather let Baez take his chances vs a LHP even one as good as Miller.

but anyways trade for machado already smh

All these Cub fans and no mention of Schwarber's really really good defensive play to start the game off?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Small sample size, but I've been impressed with Meadows so far. Now the question for the Pirates is when Marte is healthy, does Polanco go to the bench.

Jorge Alfaro caught Inciarte stealing with a throw that clocked 89.3 MPH, and how has the 3 hardest throws on a CS this season. (91.3, 89.6, 89.3)

                                Don't run on Alfaro.
