Except I'm still sfraid that this past season was just a fluke for him. Hopefully, it will become the norm and he wont go back to his old .500 days.

        Go Yankees?

The Pavano signing helps the Yankees rotation but more importantly it keeps him away from the Red Sox.

man, I'm pissed...I thought the Tigers had a shot, and they really needed Pavano. I have no clue what relatively top level starting pitching is out there now, I hope the Tigers can recoup, they were pushing a lot at Pavano.

NYTimes reported that it was due to his convo with Torre that he made the decision to pick the Yanks and most importantly play for Joe Torre. A great signing too money-wise, 4yrs/39 mill. Under 10 mill a year.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
                - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

The Tigers and Derek Lowe have had a mutual interest in eachother and with the Red Sox signing David Wells and Pedro Martinez expected to sign any day now it looks like Lowe will not be coming back to Boston. Detroit would be good place for Lowe-big ball park, good defense up the middle and getting to work with Ivan Rodriguez. If he regains confidence in his sinker and shows good command he could easiley be a 20 game-winner again.

Let's go Yankees. This was the only move I was waiting for. I'm so happy they got him.

Good move. Another pitcher with only one good year, but I feel a lot better about his year not being a fluke than I do with Wright.
