NYTimes reported that it was due to his convo with Torre that he made the decision to pick the Yanks and most importantly play for Joe Torre. A great signing too money-wise, 4yrs/39 mill. Under 10 mill a year.- Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor." I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

The Tigers and Derek Lowe have had a mutual interest in eachother and with the Red Sox signing David Wells and Pedro Martinez expected to sign any day now it looks like Lowe will not be coming back to Boston. Detroit would be good place for Lowe-big ball park, good defense up the middle and getting to work with Ivan Rodriguez.
