I'm still waiting for the 2015 Astros to come back down to earth in their production.

Funny thing in the context of our sustainability discussions...I saw on MLB Now (I think) that the Astros are one of the most underperforming teams in the league if you compare their actual record vs the underlying peripherals. With a rotation as dominant as theirs has been, they should be playing something like .700 ball. If anything they should only get better.

Enjoy it while it lasts, because it won't. What they're doing is obviously not sustainable.

I'm fully prepared for the whole thing to come crashing down to earth for the M's, especially the starting pitching. But might as well enjoy being able to watch meaningful games while I still can. It's not like there's been a lot of that in the last...16 years.

Yeah I wish the Mariners would have tanked 5 straight years and had all those prospects hit too. But what are ya going to do? And how you still have that post?

And I think we should trade for a better 5th starter. Leblanc isnt going to sustain this level of success, Gonzales I think can sustain it however. Leak and Felix should also return to respectable form. And Paxton is a stud, he will get Cy Young votes. And our bull pen is secretly pretty stout. Especially after the Colome trade, and we have one of the best closers in the game. Our offense is good enough, if our pitching holds up we will be in the thick of things come september..

Leblanc kind of reminds me of Jamey Moyer. Very similar career parallels too.

Took Cishek all of about a minute to blow up that solid (albeit short, by innings at least) outing by Quintana.

Hasn't really been a weakness this year, but the Cubs' bullpen totally **** the bed tonight. First Cishek immediately wiped away Quintana's nice start. Then Morrow comes in for his worst (or 2nd worst) outing as a Cub. Basically every bullpen decision Joe Maddon made tonight blew up right in his face...except for Justin Wilson. Bizarre, but 'tis baseball.
