Braves should trade Teheran immediately after his next even somewhat decent start.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Video tribute to Arrieta shown on the Wrigley jumbotron mid 1st inning, to which the crowd cheered and Jake doffed his cap. Classy all around.

The Jake Arrieta tribute was the highlight of the day for sure. The Cubs are getting their **** pushed in by the Phillies tonight.

After watching this Phillies outfield play for a few innings, I have newfound respect for Arrieta's comments about the team's defense.

Gotta love that crummy Jays bullpen.

At least Estrada pitched a whale of a game tonight.

With the Cubs leaving 5 baserunners in the first 4 innings of this game and as Javy swings through a pitch at eye level, I can't help but mention again how awful they've been w/RISP. Overall, the Cubs and Red Sox are tied for an MLB leading .266 batting average. Trouble is the Cubs are only 21st w/RISP (.238) with the most strikeouts (23%). This Cubs team is giving away close games left and right and hoping to get so hot later this summer that it doesn't even matter, I guess. Same as usual.

It seems like Chili Davis's message isn't getting through. And I don't know if it's really his fault.

The Cubs were 20th last season w/RISP so it seems to be more ingrained into these players than anything to do with the hitting coach. The Cubs were also just a middle of the pack team in batting average last year overall. They are doing better overall this year (scoring 0.2 more runs per game, tops in the NL on a per-game basis); it's just the distribution of runs hasn't been very efficient. They are wasting a lot of runs in blowouts and coming up short in more competitive games.

Sean Newcomb is very good at pitching.

Bryan Mitchell is very bad at pitching. How he is still in the big leagues is impressive. Can't admit a mistake, eh Preller? I'm pretty sure we have a better pitcher in the minors.

We've been saying this **** for ages now. Any good start that guy gives us is a bonus.

Great night tonight for the Braves tonight. Newcomb with another really good start. Not much more to say.

Andrew Heaney had an incredible start but the Angels might have lost Simmons for a DL stint. SMH.

                              Also, welcome back Madison Bumgarner.

Also, yes I was asleep at the wheel this week lol.
