Hopefully that's just a bruise for Javy.

Feel like the Cubs are going to regret not scoring there. Quintana not getting the bunt down messed that inning up.

Cubs doing their very best to pad their LOB numbers. I've never been this disappointed in an offense this potent. It's all or nothing on a relatively constant basis.

Extra out there - That should have been Munoz' ball to throw out Bryant on.

No damage, but made Flaherty work a bit more. 1 more inning tops?

Ugh. Addison Russell needs to get the lead runner there...

EDIT: What a great night for Flaherty. Not only does he wiggle out of some jams, but he plunks Baez so Russell has to come in at SS and St. Louis gets their runs based on Russell making the wrong decision with his throw. In a roundabout way, Flaherty got those runs.

Nice to hear A-Rod harping on that mistake because it was really bad.

Gee Jessica. Is it really that surprising that the Cubs score fewer runs and give up more when they lose rather than when they win?

She's focusing on the wrong part of those stats.

                    Edit: Nope.

Freddie is the only NL player in the top 10 in fWAR.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Yeah. I was grimacing in real time when I saw Addison (he's Addison when he ****s up, not Addy) turn toward first with the runner ~ 1/2 the way to 3rd base. Of course, the very next play was the double play ball that would've kept it scoreless.

In her defense, what pundit makes that distinction on TV? lol. It's a pretty dumb stat (duh), but broadcast packages insist on mentioning it every so often. We're supposed to see it as the result of something instead of the cause. Apparently.

Haven't had a chance to jump on OS today but if you told me before the Nats series that the Jays would sweep them i'd laugh in your face. I honestly thought they'd get blown to pieces.

Let's see if history can repeat itself (2015) and the Jays go on a magical run.
