In those 8 games the Mets lost, they had 6 games scoring 0-2 runs lol. And their bullpen sucks too. Despite DeGrom giving up 8 runs in those 8 losses, the Mets bullpen allowed 34 runs!

So I was checking out Mike Trout's stats...the single season WAR leader is 1923 Babe Ruth at just over 14. We are roughly 40% through the season and Trout's already at 6! He has a real chance, if he stays healthy, to have the single best season baseball history has ever seen. Enjoy this...

Mantle not quite keeping up with Mike Trout. Trout should have a healthy lead by the end of this season.

That says that Mantle is ahead 61.3 to 60.6 at age 26. Am I misreading it?

I'm guessing that the season isn't over yet though, or at least Trout isn't finished being 26 yet (until August).

On the BR list, he's 120th all time in his 8th season.

The next player on the list with fewer than 10 seasons is in 368th place - Josh Donaldson, who is also in his 8th season and has a bit over half his WAR.

You're not misreading it, but barring a major injury that'll be the last age Mantle is ahead of him. Just look at Mantle's age 24-26 seasons. They're silly.

I watched the Mets/D'Backs game tonight and while the Mets may stink (man that bullpen was bad again tonight) at least their announcers are so easy on the ears. I could listen to Ron Darling and the PBP guy (forgot his name) doing a game all night long. Hernandez is a bit of a harder listen but it's still fairly good.

I tried watching some of the Sawx/M's game as well but there's only so much of Remy I can take. I know the man is an institution in Boston but that Bawston accent is too much for my ears.

I am factoring in that Trout is likely to pile up another 5-6 WAR this year before his age 26 season data point is over. Season is in progress. And it's a beaut of a season at that.

Or maybe they're talking about the Red Sox AA affiliates the Portland Sea Dogs, and Padres AA affiliate San Antonio Missions.

At least the Lebron conversation didn't leak over here lol.
