I find it hard to believe that a team with zero energy and who got beaten 2 out of 3 times by the Marlins just before the deadline is going to win the East. Let's put it this way. If the Walgreens win the East i'll have a Nationals avatar until they're out of the playoffs.

19-0 after 5 innings must be some kind of a record.
Remember when the Mets were 13-2 or whatever? lolz.I write things on the Internet.

8 different Nats had 2+ hits by the 5th inning. That must be a record.
All 6 runs were scored off Jose Reyes (!), who threw 48 pitches (!!)Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Daniel Murphy hit two home runs to key the highest-scoring game ever for the Nationals, who pounded out 26 hits and won 25-4 Tuesday night in the most lopsided defeat in Mets history.
The 19-0 lead through five innings marked only the second time that has happened in major league history, according to Elias research. The first occurrence was on May 13, 1876, when the Hartford Dark Dukes held a 21-0 lead over the New York Mutuals through five innings.I write things on the Internet.

Lorenzo Cain with one of the most important catches of the year, robbing Bellinger of a game-tying homer. Also drove Yelich home for the only run of the game.

Shawn Kelley DFA'd...I can't find video to post here but he was put in the game in mop-up duty, gave up a 3-run HR then threw his glove to the ground and glared at the dugout.
