Well well, a good "home" win for the Jays. Teo Hernandez goes 4-5 with 3 doubles and Mike Hauschild who was just released by the Astros AAA affiliate pitched an AWESOME game. He would've gotten the start but he only had 2 days to get ready and in uniform for the Jays.

To add injury to insult for the M's though is that it looks like Dee Gordon could be out for a while. He had an ugly twisted ankle trying to catch a throw to 2nd.

        Pretty sweet offense, you know.
Probably one of the few teams that could absorb a blow like losing Seager for the year and still be just fine.

Holy hell, some of these final scores lately....

Also I couldn't be happier that the Cubs have long since been done with the Dodgers (until October, that is).

Ugh, waking up to see the Yankees lost 15-7 to Boston is not a great way to start my Friday. (I was working so I missed the game last night.)

Sounds like due to "dynamic pricing", Mariners attendance for game vs Jays was fairly low. Under 30,000 fans, seems like at least half being Jays fans. Fans from BC going to game regardless of prices, while fans from Seattle staying home. Can't wait to see the NHL rivalry starting in 2-3 years from now with Vancouver and Seattle.

Speaking of Seattle, Safeco Field is one of my fave of all retractable roof stadiums. Really does look like completely different environments with roof open vs closed.

And just about everyone can play multiple positions which helps as well.

To be fair to Bryce Harper, despite the funny .230 jokes, he is among the NL leaders in homers (26) and has a .377 OBP at the start of action today. I bet there are many other major leaguers who'd trade stats with him.

He's also hitting .359/.480/.692 since his monster HRD performance.

I was at the gym late last night and was watching the HOF game on the TV's.

I checked the Brewers score at the end of the workout and it seems like they were playing an exhibition football game too.

Hope that is out of their system, wow.

If you saw some of the "defense" you'd have cursed a blue streak. This experiment with guys playing out of position in the IF might not work after all if they're booting the ball all over the place.
